Editing multiple objects simultaneously
Quite often you may need to check if some directory service objects have the same value for a particular attribute and/or set an attribute value for multiple objects. In both cases, what you only need to do is to select the objects (by placing a check mark next to each one) so that the Object Properties window now contains the combined attributes of all selected objects (see Figure 1). If, for a particular attribute, at least one object has a value different from the value of all other selected objects, the attribute value is displayed blank. On the other hand, by modifying the attribute value, you change it for all selected objects simultaneously. This allows you to modify attributes of multiple objects in a very efficient manner.
