This includes the resources of the file system, the mailbox memory or the used storage volume of the database systems. The provision of this data in an ERP system now enables a new dimension in cost allocation. The resources utilised can now be calculated individually according to the so-called costs-by-cause principle. An early-warning system enables prompt sensitisation in the event of capacity bottlenecks and provides information in case of possible misuse of the finite resources available in a computer centre.
