General Options of the directory service

Every directory service supports a set of so-called server controls, which can be used to delegate certain tasks, search requests, for example, event notification, etc. on the server site. The type of controls available can be determined by the server properties.

The Paged Result Control is necessary to limit the amount of the maximum object size when requesting the directory service, for instance.
