Reading the LDAP-Schema of the producer
The schema of the producer can be easily read with Userbooster. Any directory service saves the internal structure of objects in the repository itself, in special internal location. The following steps are necessary to read the LDAP schema for the producer Microsoft, Novell or OpenLDAP.
Create a Profile with any kind of configuration settings
Select the Settings Dialog in the menu File Settings
Choose the item LDAP Schema
Select the toolbar button Import attributes from LDAP
Choice one profile configuration from all available profiles
Import one or more attributes to the local configuration file or just export the schema to MS-Excel
Userbooster has an own rule based framework to automate the required LDAP operation, regardless of the current producer. This means you are be able to export objects from Microsoft and import the same amount of objects to Novell without any manual modification.
