Profile Assistant
The Profile Assistant forms the basic requirement for communicating with the directory service.
- Server name
The IP address or the name of the server must be entered.
- User
The login name must be specified in the form of the complete distinguished Name (e.g. cn=administrator,cn=users,dc=maxcrclab,dc=de). There is a different syntax according to the directory service. In Novell for example, there are no dc-objects. Here for example, the notation is as follows: cn=admin,ou=novell,o=de.
- Password
The user password must be entered.
- SSL
An encrypted link is used.
- Port
The corresponding port must be entered.
- Use LDAP schematic only
Only the attributes of the configuration file will be read out.
